What is InboxZen?
InboxZen is an AI-powered email assistant that helps you manage your inbox more efficiently. It sorts your emails, drafts responses, and helps you stay on top of important conversations.
What happens to my inbox if I decide to stop using the product?
If you delete your InboxZen account, your inbox will return to its previous state. We don't make permanent changes to your email organization system.
Is the code open-source?
Yes! The source code for InboxZen is available on our GitHub repository. We believe in transparency and welcome contributions from the community.
Which email providers are supported?
Currently, InboxZen works with Gmail and Outlook. We're actively working on adding support for other email providers in the future.

Email Classification

How quickly are new emails categorized?
If you just received an email, it may not be categorized instantly. Our system scans your inbox every few minutes to label new emails.
Can I customize the categories?
Not at the moment, but we're working on adding customization options in future updates. Currently, we use predefined categories optimized for most email workflows.
Does it automatically filter spam?
InboxZen provides an additional layer of filtering beyond your email provider's native spam filter, helping to catch promotional and low-priority emails that might otherwise clutter your inbox.

AI Response Drafting

When are drafts created?
Drafts are automatically generated for any email in the To Respond folder. If you need a draft for an email in another folder, simply move it to To Respond.
Are drafts generated in any language?
Yes, drafts are automatically created in the same language as the email they respond to.
Can I edit the AI-generated drafts?
Absolutely! AI-generated drafts are meant to be starting points. You can edit them just like any other email draft before sending.

Privacy & Security

How does InboxZen handle and protect my email data?
  • We do not send emails on your behalf without your explicit approval.
  • Your emails are never stored long-term or used for training AI models.
  • We use email content with an AI model solely for drafting and classification. The OpenAI API ensures no data is retained. For more information, please refer to OpenAI's Privacy Policy
What permissions does InboxZen require?
InboxZen requires read and modify permissions for your emails to provide its services. We never delete your emails or send messages without your explicit approval.
Can InboxZen employees read my emails?
No. Our employees do not have access to your email content. Access to system logs is strictly limited and monitored for troubleshooting purposes only.
How is my data encrypted?
All data in transit is encrypted using industry-standard TLS. We use secure, encrypted connections when accessing your email provider's API.

Is InboxZen free to use?
We offer a free tier with limited features. Our premium plans unlock additional capabilities like advanced AI drafting, priority support, and higher usage limits.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings page. Your benefits will continue until the end of your current billing period.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes, we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied with our service, contact our support team within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.
Is there a limit to how many emails I can process?
Free accounts have a monthly limit. Premium accounts have higher or unlimited processing capabilities depending on the plan you choose.
